Hello! A big thank you for visiting my blog today; it is a pleasure having you here.
I love spring and look forward to this gorgeous season each year. The brutal Minnesota winters make spring feel like a well-earned reward for all the snow shoveling and being smacked in the face with below zero degrees wind chills. This year however, we lucked out BIG TIME. It rarely snowed and we had a “spring preview” in February. With many over 40 degrees days, kids were out biking rather than building a snowman. Can you believe that!?
Today, I would like to invite you over for a tour of our family room in the spring time. It is where we relax, talk about our days and plans for tomorrow. The biggest change in this room would have to be the drapery. We had grey curtains and I loved the tone on tone, moody feel that it gave the room during the colder months. With spring here, I am ready to embrace a light and airy feel so I switched them out for these inexpensive white cotton ones.
We purchased this Ikea coffee table soon after we moved in while we search for one that we love. Replacing it since fell off the priority list as it works for now:). I kept the vignette here simple as this time of the year I go into full minimalistic mode.
The expansive windows surrounding this room are one the many things we love about this house. It is almost impossible to capture a shot without getting either morning or afternoon sun shining through. Oh well, I guess I can’t win them all:)
One more shot of this super cute daylily:)
If you read my previous post, you would see that i use the same approach to decorate our living room as well. In case you missed it, check it out here. I hope you liked this tour and would check back in to see what I have coming up next. (Hint: it is tablescape and i am super excited to share it with you)
Happy Spring my friends!
A bientot, Victoria.
