Hello and welcome to part 2 of the Habitat for Humanity project reveal.

One of the fun things about staging a vacant home is the freedom to make each room what you desire. Whether it be a nursery, a guest room or a media room; the sky is the limit. Last week, we toured the lower level and left off in the master bedroom.  Today, I would like to take you on the tour of the upper-level. Shall we?

Right off the staircase is a bonus loft that can be used as a play area, a mini library, or a study. For this project, we went with the latter and turned this space into a study/office.

Hourglasses are one of my favorite accessories to include in an office decor. They inject a feeling of relaxation while brainstorming into any workspace.

Located in a young family oriented neighborhood, I wanted to emphasize the potential that this house offers in fitting a family needs. I adore the concept of siblings sharing a room so we designed the first room as a shared girl bedroom. Perhaps it is the fact that my very own two girls loved sharing a bedroom and the sound of their wee-nights laughter across the hall is priceless.

With the expansive windows at the center of the main wall and vaulted ceilings, two twin beds were a no-brainer for this room. This setup also happens to be my favorite for a shared bedroom regardless of gender as it allows the design to flow better.

The cat figurine was a spur of the moment last-minute Homegoods find. Each day we went to the house during the install, we had a visitor – a black stray cat we named ” Mr. Catiness”. This figurine reminded me of Mr. Catiness, so we incorporated him into the girls’ bedroom.

Separating the two bedrooms is a full bath styled with gender-neutral pieces.

And now onto the final room of the house: the boy ‘s bedroom. I stepped away from the traditional boy colors and love the final look. The dark and mustard color palette offers a sophisticated feel to this room.

This concludes the tour of the upper level of this beautiful home. In case you missed part I of the reveal, please check here.
